Assisted Mr. Rao in defending the Union of India in the challenge to the Constitution (Eighty Fifth Amendment) Act, 2001 in the case of M.Nagaraj & Ors v. Union of India & Ors. The Hon’ble Supreme Court upheld the validity of the Constitutional Amendment.¨
Appeared as junior Counsel with Mr. Rao for the State of Bihar before the Constitution Bench of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the Bihar Assembly Dissolution case.¨
Appeared as Junior Counsel with Mr. Rao for the State of Haryana before the Constitution Bench of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the challenge to constitutional validity of the Haryana Local Area Development Tax Act, 2000. Performed extensive research on the law relating to ‘compensatory tax’.
